The first Arc Raiders patch since Embark shook up its update schedule has arrived. Major updates are only coming twice a year, but regular balancing changes continue unabated. That's what we have in patch 1.29.0: Embark is targeting a handful of bugbears while also introducing a new anti-ARC grenade launcher.
Perhaps the biggest change for active players is a partial reversion of weapon durability. Speranza weaponry isn't holding up like it used to. The idea was to force players to use more resources to keep their gear true, but the overwhelming response is that's actually annoying. Embark acknowledged in the patch notes that the lowered durability of some guns was "too much," and so it's toughening up some of the most common guns in the game.
Specifically, the Ferro, Anvil, Canto, Osprey, Renegade, Torrente, Bettina, and Jupiter can be shot more before they break. The percentage increase is different for each gun, ranging from 18% to 54%. The biggest durability boost by far goes to the Renegade, going from 175 to 269 shots. All of the numbers below assume a tier 1 weapon.
