Gunman ‘kills two and injures four including baby’ at Spanish resort

Two people have died, and four, including two children, were left seriously injured in a shooting near a popular Spanish coastal resort.

The victims include a seven-month-old baby, who has been taken to a hospital intensive care unit.

The incident occurred late last night in El Canalillo, between Balanegra and El Ejido, in the southeast province of Almeria.

The area is close to Almerimar, a popular tourist destination on the Costa de Almeria, which is known for its sandy beaches and features one of Andalucia’s largest marinas.
