Famous for its ‘beer mile’ packed with craft breweries, trendy brunch spots, and cycle repair cafés, Walthamstow has long held the crown as London’s hipster heartland.

And it’s a status reflected in its soaring property values. According to Rightmove, house prices in Walthamstow over the past year are 6% up on the previous period and 8% up on the 2022 peak.

But a surprising challenger is rising on the East London scene. While E17 has been stealing the spotlight, South Woodford is quietly making its move.
