A farmer has said he was left horrified after his six-week-old lamb was butchered in a barbaric killing which saw the chops removed.Alistair Pinkerton was checking his field opposite Battlers Green Farm in Radlett, Herts., when he found the dead animal in a corner on May 14.The lamb's backbone was cut out and the area known as the rack or chops had been removed.Mr Pinkerton, who has been farming for 40 years, said the animal was left with a gaping hole in its back and could have dragged itself six metres before dying.
