Romania’s national-conservative AUR leader George Simion has put Călin Georgescu’s imprisonment at the center of Romania’s political crisis, declaring that his party will not help install another government while the sovereigntist former presidential candidate remains behind bars.

“We will not vote for any other proposal until he is released from prison. FREEDOM,” Simion said.
