Anthony Hall outside Rickergate Magistrates' Court in Carlisle. //A blind drink-driver travelled 150 miles through the night by following the taillights of lorries - before police spotted him drifting towards the hard shoulder. Anthony Hall, 49, had taken his partner's car without permission before setting off from Huddersfield, West Yorks., despite being registered blind, unlicensed and uninsured. He was also over the drink-drive limit as he made the journey towards Cumbria. A court heard it was "miraculous" that nobody was killed or seriously injured during the two-hour motorway drive.
