Salma Begum watched young Abdullah Ebrahim being struck in a narrow backstreet in Leeds, West Yorks., before driver Colin Agyei carried on without stopping. She told a court the horrific sight of her little boy on the ground has "stayed with me for four years". Agyei, 32, was today jailed for six years after being found guilty of causing death by dangerous driving following a trial. Leeds Crown Court heard he had driven the wrong way down one-way Back Camberley Street, Beeston, because it saved him time while making deliveries. He was behind the wheel of a black Nissan Note when Abdullah ran across the road on July 7, 2022. The youngster was struck and later died in hospital. Photo released 24/09/2026
