A footballer has appeared in court accused of skipping £3,500 worth of food and drink bills in a series of alleged ‘dine-and-dash’ thefts.

Michael Dome-Bemwin, 29, is said to have failed to pay for food and drinks on six occasions across Kensington, Chelsea, and Westminster between January 29 and April 23 this year.

The Greengate District FC centre-forward denies six counts of obtaining services dishonestly – the most lavish being two shots of Yamazaki malt whiskey priced at £2,047.
