Former Met PC who made up sex assault because she was late for work sent back to jail

A former Met police officer who lied that she had been sexually assaulted during a fake traffic stop because she was late for work has been ordered back to prison.

Lauren Evans, 35, claimed she was pulled over and subjected to an intimate body search while driving on the A20 in southeast London in March 2023.

During the subsequent investigation, another serving Met officer identified as having been on the same dual carriageway was arrested in front of his wife and children.
