Uskee/ M&SThe weather is in a really annoying place right now. It’s not quite cold enough to wear a full on coat, but there’s also a slight nip in the air, so some kind of jacket is required.
Enter: the French chore jacket. This jacket has been a staple in my closet for years, since I somehow found the perfect one in a charity shop for £5.
They’ve become a staple layer in men’s transitional wardrobes (lesbians, am I right?) with styles selling for up to hundreds of pounds online.
Ironically, the style originated as workwear by French labourers in the 18th century, because they’re made of durable cotton twill. Plus, the traditional blue shade can hide a multitude of sins.
So you don’t have to spend thousands of pounds on one and disrespect their memory, I’ve found seven of the best to shop now, from as little as £40!
