French investigators target Élysée palace in events company contracts probe

French investigators raided the Elysee palace on Tuesday in relation to an events company contracts probe. Investigators from the financial and anti-corruption departments of the Paris police were looking into why Shortcut Events had been chosen to host important state events for more than two decades.
