On an episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, Gilmore Girls star Lauren Graham shared that she’d taken some of her on-screen romances off-script.
In the 2025 recording, host Alex Cooper asked the actor – who played Lorelai in the hit show – which of her characters’ on-screen love interests she enjoyed the most.
“I mean, Luke [Dane, played by Scott Patterdale] is the right answer, for sure,” Lauren replied.
Alex pressed her on her dating history, saying, “You previously said you did not date Scott Patterson, who plays Luke in the show. But you did date a couple of the other guys on the set of Gilmore Girls. Was it anyone that Lorelai ever dated?”
The actor’s response was straightforward: “Yes.
“And ‘dating’ is a real big word for some of the experiences” (OK, plural!).
