Stable worker Chloe Briody was taken to hospital after being kicked by a racehorse in a harrowing moment inside the parade ring.
Briody, travelling head girl for trainer Richard Fahey, was walking alongside Kameko Fever ahead of a seven-furlong race at Redcar in North Yorkshire on Tuesday.
The three-year-old gelding was being led around the parade ring when Briody was seen approaching the horse from the right-hand side.
Kameko Fever then kicked out its hind legs with brutal force, sending her flying across the grass.
Footage shared on social media captured the worrying moment with racing fans fearing for her wellbeing.
Briody thankfully escaped without any serious injuries having been taken to hospital for assessment.
