Working out how to escape Xanthe's trap in The Blood of Dawnwalker took me a lot longer than I'd like to admit. This event only occurs during your assault on Griefberg Castle if you chose not to spare Xanthe, or straight up killed her before starting the final sequence. Obviously, this guide will contain some spoilers, but I'll also explain how to escape the trap she leaves for you from beyond the grave.
