I’m a gay stepdad – I don’t know how to tell my kids I love them

I have a problem – I don’t know how to tell my kids I love them.

Actually, I’m not really sure if I can call them ‘my kids’.

My stepson, 12, and my stepdaughter, 10, have been in my life for four years but I have never found the words to express to them how I feel.

Not because I don’t love them – they are some of the most important people in my life and I would do anything for them.

But, as a gay step-dad,
