It's Not All Wellies: We've Found 11 Waterproof Shoes And Boots That You Can Wear Everyday

I’m going to say something revealing here: until recently, I hadn’t really thought much about the concept of a waterproof shoe.

Yeah... I’ve been braving soggy toes for my entire 27 years on this planet, but I’ve decided it’s probably time to stop.

After doing a considerable amount of browsing (as you do as a shopping writer) I discovered that I’ve been holding an incorrect bias: waterproof shoes don’t have to be ugly.

Nor do they have to be wellies. In fact, there are plenty of waterproof and water-resistant shoes and boots out there that can be worn with any outfit you like. You don’t have to look like you’re wading through a field of mud at Glasto à la Alexa Chung in 2011. Who knew?
