Major change to bus tickets across England from today — here’s what you need to know

From August 1, bus fares across England are changing.

Typically, throughout the year, children under five and adults over the state pension age (66) can travel on local buses for free, while outside of London, those aged between five and 15 pay £2 or less.

However, from today (August 1) until the end of the month, all kids up to age 15 will be able to enjoy unlimited free travel on participating buses in England as part of a new scheme.
