Charlton Athletic say they are supporting a police investigation after a man was found dead at The Valley.

Officers and paramedics were called to the Championship side’s ground following an incident in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The man was declared dead at the scene.

Detectives are investigating whether the man may have fallen from a height.

His death is being treated as unexpected while inquiries continue.
