Man, 82, dies after fight over sunlounger on Greek beach

An 82-year-old man has died after an argument over a sunbed on the Athenian Riviera.

He had headed to the popular seaside town of Vouliagmeni before 10am on Sunday in hopes of landing a lounger for the day.

However, he soon ended up in an argument with a ’76-year-old man unknown to him’ as the beds were in short supply.

The men’s verbal back-and-forth escalated into a physical fight, with others reportedly joining in.
