Murder arrest after woman in 40s found dead in Norfolk village outside Sandringham

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was found dead in a quiet village on the outskirts of the Sandringham Estate.

Paramedics were called following concerns for the welfare of a woman inside a home in Fern Hill, Dersingham, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

After finding the woman, in her 40s, critically injured, the ambulance service called police to the scene.

A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

He remains in custody and a police cordon is still in place at the property.
