According to a recent survey, almost a third of couples have experienced so-called ‘financial infidelity’, when a partner conceals money or debt.

This week’s Money Problem reader, 52-year-old Harriet from Kensington, is now among them, after catching her husband with the best part of half a million pounds squirrelled away.

Although they’ve been married for decades, he says she has no right to the pension cash, as it was saved before the pair ever set eyes on one another.
