Netflix’s latest reality show is an exercise in cruelty

I was shocked to read that the Stanford Prison Experiment is getting the reality TV treatment next month for Netflix.

And while we’re turning anything into reality TV these days – such as Channel 4’s chaotic idea in Apocalypse, where people are stranded in an abandoned town without food or water – this still feels like a step too far.
