Economist Jon Hartley is a refugee from California. He appeared last week on CNBC’s Squawk Box (video here) to oppose California’s Prop. 40. Prop. 40 travels under the banner of a one-time “billionaire tax.” I should probably put “one-time” in quotes too.
In the CNBC interview Professor Hartley mentioned his departure from California. He teaches at the University of Texas-Austin School of Civic Leadership. He is also a Visiting Fellow at the Hoover Institution (profile here).
