The local ABC affiliate (KSTP-5) has a new round of polling out on the five statewide political races on the ballot this November. The news is not good for Democrats.
A month ago, Democrats led in four of the five, with the fifth, for state Attorney General, being tied. A month later, Democrats lead in two, Republicans lead in two, and a fifth tied, for U.S. Senate.
Keeping in mind that it’s still a long way to go to November, the trend is your friend.
The race for governor shows the biggest shift. In a classic turnout suppression poll, last month KSTP showed now U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar ahead of state Speaker of the House Lisa Demuth 52-36. The latest numbers have Klobuchar ahead 47-40, a nine-point shift in just four weeks.
