Protesting 50-Year-Old Death Penalty Decision

On July 2, 1976, the United States Supreme Court decided Gregg v. Georgia, ruling that capital punishment does not violate the Constitution's ban on cruel and unusual punishment. For 36 of the 50 summers since, a group of death penalty abolitionists has gathered to protest that decision.
