Russell Brand claims he was ‘blocked from hospital’ to see sick baby son after rape allegations

Russell Brand’s rape trial has continued, with the former comedian taking the stand and claiming his ‘entire life has been consumed’ by the case.

The 51-year-old denies seven charges he is facing, including rapes and sexual assault against six different women from 1999 to 2009.

He told the court he had been blocked from entering Great Ormond Street Hospital to be with his sick baby son after he had been publicly accused of rape.

‘The reason given by Great Ormond Street Hospital when my son was receiving open heart surgery and subsequent treatment was due to the material published,’ he claimed.
