The S&P 500 index closed above 7,365, an all-time record, just below the intra-day high of 7,369, also an all-time record.
For the day, the index was up almost 1 and a half percent. For the week, it’s up almost 3 percent, for past 3o days, up over 11 percent and for year-to-date 2026, up more than 7 percent.
