Sophon is shutting down its Ethereum layer-2 blockchain, and anyone still holding a balance there has to get it out by November 25, according to the project. After that, infrastructure and websites begin shutting down, and on November 30 the mainnet is to close for good. The awkward part is not the date itself but a contradiction. Open Sophon's official documentation and it still tells you there is no fixed date yet. Two channels of the same company are saying two different things, and only one of them names a deadline.

Around 5.28 million dollars currently sits on the Sophon blockchain. That figure has fallen by only about two and a half percent over the past week, so nothing is draining out right now. This article explains what the two deadlines mean, how to get your balance out, and how to tell whether you are affected at all.
