The main suspect in the death of a Scottish charity worker tried to concoct a strange cover story after she was killed and stuffed in a suitcase, according to police sources.

The remains of charity worker Elizabeth-Jane Ross, 38, from Edinburgh, were found dumped in Athens on July 18, three days after she was reported missing from her flat.
