Passenger rights experts and flight compensation company AirHelp recently ranked the best and worst airports of 2026.
They judged the flight hubs on factors like delays, cancellations, facilities, passenger comfort, and overall experience.
Not all of those scores carried equal weight, though; the biggest factor was how often flights left and arrived on time, accounting for 60% of the score.
“Passenger experience” and “comfort and facilities” carried 20% each, meanwhile.
While AirHelp included 270 airports from 76 countries in total in its rankings, we’ve rounded up what it made of the UK’s offering – with London City airport nabbing the top spot, thanks to a great passenger experience and relatively few delays.
