More than 60 years since Roald Dahl first delighted readers with the story of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the beloved novel is set to be adapted for the big screen for the fourth time.
Hitting shelves in 1964, the novel followed the adventures of young boy called Charlie Bucket who wins a golden ticket and the chance to tour the factory of an eccentric chocolatier named Willy Wonka.
It’s been estimated that in the years since the book was first released, it has sold up to 30 million copies worldwide.
