Light fittings from the grand staircase and first class smoking lounge of the Titanic’s sister ship are set to fetch thousands of pounds at auction.

The ornate fittings were salvaged from RMS Olympic, the elder sibling of the doomed liner, after she was withdrawn from service in 1935.

They will go under the hammer at Newcastle auction house Anderson & Garland on October 1.
