As Scott noted yesterday, the Minneapolis Star Tribune continues to mine its treasure trove of illegally-obtained, secret FBI documents for “news” on the state’s never-ending fraud scandals.
The exercise appears to be an effort in blamestorming/scapegoating/misdirection in order to inoculate Democrats on the November ballot against the state’s biggest election issue. To that end, the bulk of the blame for the multi-billion-dollar fraud scandal has been laid at the feet of the lame-duck Gov., Tim Walz. That’s the scapegoating part, even if a deserved one.
