I hope you’ve had a great weekend! As always, I look forward to sharing several of my top ideas and bigger-picture ideas for the week ahead, including thoughts on entries and exits.
As I mentioned in my most recent Inside Access meeting, barring any major headlines or escalations in the Middle East, I’ll continue to focus on consolidation breakout opportunities, with the QQQ nearing its all-time high. Outside that focus, I’m also allocating some attention to momo trading in in-play small-caps, which have been seeing decent flows lately.
Consolidation Breakout in MSFT: It just about broke out on Friday, but it still needs to prove itself by clearing its multi-month range and closing convincingly above resistance. Overall, the tight coil, converging short-term SMAs, and Friday’s strength were reasons to go long for me. I’m long from Friday, and traded around a core, but for further risk, I’d want to see follow-through above Friday’s high and some notable relative strength in the name.
