US feminist icon and journalist Gloria Steinem dies aged 92
The co-founder of Ms. Magazine and celebrated feminist icon Gloria Steinem has died at her home at the age of 92. An internationally recognised activist in the fight for women's equality, she spoke out for the legalisation of abortion, same-sex marriage, and equal pay. She began her journalism career in New York in the 1960s. Politically, she was an outspoken critic of Donald Trump, arguing that the US had taken many steps back when it came to women's rights. FRANCE 24's Journalist and host of "The 51%" tells us more.
