Toby Longworth is a titan (no, not that kind) of Warhammer 40k voicework—one of the most prolific narrators of Black Library novels there is. For years, he's narrated Dan Abnett's work, widely agreed to be the best 40k has to offer, including the hugely popular Eisenhorn and Gaunt's Ghosts series.

He's also narrated a variety of Horus Heresy novels, where he gave voice to the famous Death Guard turned Grey Knight, Nathaniel Garro. Now, he's lending his voice to Dawn of War 4, specifically to a bunch of different Space Marines, and so he sat down to paint and talk with us about his career.

As someone who's listened to Toby Longworth's voice for hundreds of hours (is there a way to say that without sounding creepy?) I had to know: Who's his favorite character to play? .

"Garro was always my favorite character, but that was very early on and Garro has a bit of a following," explains Longworth. "His voice has a wonderful rolling quality that allows you to do it really smoothly. Eisenhorn was great fun as well. I did Gaunt's Ghosts, too, and Gaunt has a very long story arc. I don't know how many books it is—I'm sure someone does—but it's a lot."
