A few years ago a newspaper music critic wrote a review of a classical music concert in her city. Her paper published it. Only problem, the concert was canceled and never took place. The critic had the review written and didn’t think she needed to attend.
Something like that may have happened with People magazine and President Trump’s appearance at the Texas-Tennessee football game on Saturday, where he got a rapturous reception from a crowd of 100,000. But People’s headline apparently was preordained:
