A woman was raped by several men outside a church in Epsom after leaving a local nightclub.

The woman, in her 20s, reported she was attacked outside Epsom Methodist Church after leaving Labyrinth Epsom nightclub in the early hours of Saturday morning, Surrey Police said.

The rape is believed to have taken place between 2am and 4am.

The police said they are investigating and working to identify the suspects.

Detective Inspector Aine Matthews said: ‘We understand this is an extremely distressing incident and the victim is being supported by specialist officers.
