Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force GX – the PSP era returns (Konami)

Konami’s latest video game revival is for the digital adaptation of their Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game, as they aim to tap into PSP era nostalgia.

There are some games that immediately transport you back in time, especially the mid-2000 PSP era. For me, Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force GX is one of them. So when I walked into the Konami booth at Tokyo Game Show 2026 and found myself face-to-face with Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force GX, I was immediately back at Duel Academy, surrounded by ridiculous hairstyles, even more ridiculous monsters, and teenagers who apparently have nothing better to do than settle every argument with a card game.
