Still, new research published in Cell Reports Medicine has suggested that sprinting, along with other higher-intensity exercise like intense cycling, could offer unique health advantages.
In fact, the Rockefeller University – whose Weslie R. and William H. Janeway Laboratory of Molecular Metabolism, which was used in the study, is headed by Dr Cohen – said, “Three minutes of sprinting can do something that 90 minutes of moderate exercise apparently cannot: dramatically reshape the molecular contents of the bloodstream”.
