Teenager dies after ‘medical emergency’ at UK music festival

An 18-year-old has died after suffering a ‘medical emergency’ at a music festival.

The woman had been at Tonnau Festival, held at Carreglwyd Estate in North Wales, when emergency services were called at 1:45am on Saturday.

She was taken to hospital but later died.

Organisers have since confirmed that the festival, which was due to take place from July 10-12, has been cancelled completely.

Issuing a statement, they said: ‘Everyone at Tonnau Festival is deeply saddened to confirm that a festival attendee tragically passed away in the early hours of Saturday morning following a severe medical emergency.
